My journey with Willow Dental began in 2004, when I was looking for a practice that allowed my passion and commitment to connect with people of diverse roots and backgrounds to be realized. I wanted to provide the best dental health care available in a relaxed environment, so that’s why I chose to be a part of this amazing family. Over the years as a Dental Hygienist at Willow Dental, I have formed many strong relationships with patients to ensure all their dental health care needs are met. I strive daily to provide kindness and compassion to the patients and dedicate myself to providing the best service. I consider myself a true asset to the practice.
My career in Dental Hygiene started over 20 years ago. I graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in the United States as a Dental Hygienist in 1993. After carefully honing my people and professional skills in dental hygiene (a lifelong learning practise!), I ambitiously decided to return to post graduate studies in Restorative Dental Hygiene at George Brown College in Toronto, focusing on placing and finishing restorations. I graduated at the top of my class from this coveted program in 2003.
Over the years, I have effectively completed numerous courses of study to update my own specialized skills and knowledge, in addition to educating and enhancing all of my patients’ care and self-knowledge of dental work performed. I have held a Certification in “Periodontal Gum Therapy” since 2007. I’m currently practicing this program on a daily basis, to help treat any gum or periodontal infection in the mouth, by using a light guided treatment. Furthermore, I had the privilege of attending the LVI clinic (Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Studies), which focuses on Aesthetics in Advance Dentistry and TMJ. This clinic helps educate and assesses patient’s overall oral health. It is worth mentioning, that I have also fulfilled training in Invisalign (clear tray braces).
Away from the office, I enjoy volunteering at elementary schools to review oral health care with students. As well, appreciate spending quality time with my husband Aneil, and two daughters, Maya and Naina. I value meditation, enjoying the outdoors, reading, photography, watching movies, cooking and traveling.
Keep smiling, and live life with passion, is my inspirational motto. Makes sense!
Come join our family! See you soon.Back
