Dental Implants

In Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario

People who have lost teeth are often very self-conscious about their smile and overall appearance. After all, your smile is the first thing a person sees when they look at you. Don't you want yours to look the best it can? At Willow Dental of Mississauga, Ontario, our skilled and caring cosmetic dentistry team has made it their life's work to rebuild, repair and restore their patient's smiles to something they can be proud to see in a mirror every day.

One way we accomplish this is through dental implant surgery and restoration. This type of procedure is performed to replace or restore damaged and/or missing teeth with artificial ones that will look and function like the patient's natural, healthy teeth.

Dental implants offer a durable alternative to uncomfortable dentures and less attractive bridgework.

The New Dental Implant Procedure

Many cosmetic dentists who are trained to perform dental implants, crowns and surgery have begun using a new technique that involves immediate replacement of missing teeth. At Willow Dental, the damaged tooth is extracted and an implant root is inserted into the space. The procedure involves no invasive surgery, which means there is no cutting into your gums and jawbone. The result is that you can resume your regular daily activities as soon as you leave the dentist's office.

The implant has a metal post that is surgically placed into your jawbone. An artificial tooth is created that matches the surrounding teeth and is placed on top of the implant. In a short amount of time, your jawbone will fuse to the implant and there will be very little discomfort as the site heals. Your gum line and jawbone will also not be susceptible to losing their shape due to the lack of support from a missing or damaged tooth.
