Dr. Alex Lock
In Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario
Born in Scotland, Dr. Lock grew up in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario. Dr. Lock began his post secondary education with his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1993. He was then fortunate enough to travel to his place of birth where he received his teaching degree in secondary education from Glasgow University, Glasgow Scotland in 1994. Although enjoying teaching immensely Dr. Lock's interest and curiosity with respect to a career in Dentistry was strong and as a result in 1998 he progressed to obtaining his Doctor or Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University's School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. He further advanced his training with a year spent in residency at the Veterans Administrative Medical Center in Cleveland where he received his General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry Certificate. After working for another year in the United States Dr. Lock elected to return to Toronto with his wife to begin a family and continue to advance in the dental profession.
Dr. Lock approaches all treatment with the priority given to the patient. With each and every appointment he strives to provide the highest quality of care in the most comfortable setting. Dr. Lock is constantly searching out advancements in dentistry that can benefit his patients and is extremely excited to be able to bring many of these advancements to Willow Dental.
In his spare time he is kept busy with his wife and two young daughters aged 4 & 5 and enjoys all sports, art, literature, travel and playing the bagpipes.
